Creating Magic

Pool and patio project

The Pool

The team had to deal with a harsh rocky ground digging the hole for the pool while being very careful not to disrturb the native oak trees. Bringing this large pool to the hole was a huge challenge and required a crane. Finally the pool was inserted into its place and an oversized concrete deck was installed to support the pool and provide a large tanning and sitting area around the pool.

The Stone Patio

In order to maintain the natural slope and the flow of rain water, while providing a convenient outdoor dining area, a natural stone patio was built out of large stones, chosen and collected from the entire 11+ acres property. The stones were then placed by a professional mason, like a puzzle one next to the other, without using any concrete or mortar. As they did with the large backyard deck, they kept all the native oak trees for a great natural shadowing.

keeping the vibe, adding the touch

The plan was to keep the vibe of the farm house and at the same time adding the touch that would make it into a refreshed spoiling vacation home.

"Dream team" in action

Over a course of 20 months a "dream team" worked tirelessly to design, manage and renovate this old ranch property, transforming it to a luxurious, resort style, vacation home. The challenges were uplifting, hot summer days, overgrown bushes and dead trees, fire-ants and old failing systems did not stop this team in their hard work and motivation to turn their vision into reality.
